The physical body
We usually forget that what we say or do is not sound, air or movement that "comes out of us", as it were, but that we ourselves are our communication. What I say, that's me, me at that particular moment in that particular state of mind.
Moreover, today it is well-known that our whole body forms part of our communication, both in its static and its dynamic state. Therefore it is essential to reflect on aspects of our physical body in every encounter.
The aspect of competence (incl. language competence) is discussed within this framework of being a physical entity.
